Product Certification
TNB Labs is operating product certification scheme for Distribution Division of TNB, in which extensive evaluation is carried out on the products to ensure the products are “fit for use”. Once accepted, Certificate of Product Acceptance (Sijil Guna Pakai, SGP) is issued.
This SGP certification signifies a technical acceptance of a product to be used in TNB system. In addition, we also have the expertise to assist other organization to develop their own product certification scheme.

SGP is a mandatory requirement for TNB Distribution Network products, where suppliers are required to ensure their products are certified before participating TNB tenders. SGP products are categorised as follows.

Transformers, Switchgears, Power Cables, Compact Substation. -
Category B
Feeder Pillars, Load Break Switch, Energy Meters, FTU, RTU, LV ATS, LED Lantern -
Category C
Cable Joint/Termination, Concrete Pole, Fuses, EFI, Neural link, IPC, Lugs
