Senior Engineer - Data Centre Project

Minimum Level Education

Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering 

Qualifications

  • Malaysian Citizen 

  • Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering recognised by the Engineering Accreditation Council (EAC)

  • Registered Professional Engineer (BEM) (preferred)  

  • Professional Technologist (MBOT) (preferred)   

  • Certified Maintenance & Reliability Professional (CMRP) or equivalent (preferred)   

  • ISO 55001 Asset Management knowledge (preferred)   

  • Minimum 4–8 years in high-voltage substation O&M, with at least 2–4 years in a leadership role will be advantage 

Job Descriptions

  • Manage the daily operation of high-voltage substations, electrical distribution systems, UPS, generators, and related electrical assets. 

  • Ensure high system availability, reliability, and compliance with customer service requirements. 

  • Plan, coordinate, and supervise preventive, corrective, and emergency maintenance activities. 

  • Monitor equipment performance and implement reliability improvement initiatives. 

  • Ensure compliance with safety procedures, statutory regulations, and company policies. 

  • Lead incident investigations, troubleshooting activities, and power restoration efforts during system failures. 

  • Manage and supervise engineers, chargemen, technicians, and contractors. 

  • Coordinate with clients, utility providers, contractors, consultants, and regulatory authorities. 

  • Prepare operational, maintenance, and performance reports for management and clients. 

  • Support commissioning, upgrades, expansion projects, and continuous improvement initiatives. 

  • Manage maintenance budgets, service contracts, and vendor performance. 

  • Ensure readiness for emergency response and business continuity requirements.
