Resident Engineer 132KV / 275KV - Data Centre Project
Minimum Level Education
Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering or Electronic
Qualifications
Malaysian Citizen
Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering recognised by the Engineering Accreditation Council (EAC).
Registered Graduate Engineer with BEM (minimum).
Professional Engineer (Ir.) is an advantage.
Member of IEM is preferred.
Experience
Minimum 3-7 years in High Voltage Electrical Engineering 11kV - 275kV.
Minimum 2 years in operation and maintenance of HV substations would be advantage.
Minimum 2 years in a supervisory or management role.
Experience managing multiple operational sites is highly preferred.
Experience in Data Centre, Utility or Transmission substations is an advantage.
Proven experience managing client relationships and service contracts.
Experience leading multidisciplinary engineering teams.
Job Descriptions
Act as the appointed Resident Engineer (RE) and ensure compliance with all applicable regulatory and safety requirements.
Oversee the operation and maintenance of HV electrical systems, including substations, transformers, switchgear, protection systems, UPS, generators, and distribution networks.
Plan and supervise preventive, corrective, and emergency maintenance activities.
Ensure compliance with electrical safety procedures, including PTW, LOTO, switching, and isolation requirements.
Lead fault investigations, troubleshooting, root cause analysis, and system restoration activities.
Coordinate testing, commissioning, energisation, and performance verification of electrical systems.
Maintain statutory records, technical documentation, maintenance reports, and operational logs.
Liaise with utility providers, regulatory authorities, customers, contractors, consultants, and OEMs on operational matters.
Monitor equipment performance and implement reliability improvement initiatives.
Supervise Chargemen, Technicians, and contractors to ensure safe and efficient operations.
