Project Coordinator (O&M Management) - Data Centre Project

Minimum Level Education

Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering 

Qualifications

  • Malaysian Citizen 

  • Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering recognised by the Engineering Accreditation Council (EAC).   

  • Registered Graduate Engineer with BEM (minimum).   

  • Professional Engineer (Ir.) is an advantage.   

  • Member of IEM is preferred.   


Experience

  • Minimum 3-7 years in High Voltage Electrical Engineering 11kV - 275kV  

  • Minimum 2 years in operation and maintenance of HV substations would be advantage. 

  • Minimum 2 years in a supervisory or management role.  

  • Experience managing multiple operational sites is highly preferred.  

  • Experience in Data Centre, Utility or Transmission substations is an advantage.  

  • Proven experience managing client relationships and service contracts.  

  • Experience leading multidisciplinary engineering teams.  

Job Description

  • Coordinate day-to-day O&M activities across multiple Data Centre sites. 

  • Act as the primary point of contact for clients on operational and maintenance matters. 

  • Monitor site performance, operational status, and service delivery. 

  • Review and coordinate maintenance schedules, shutdowns, and operational activities. 

  • Support Plant Managers and site teams in resolving operational issues and resource requirements. 

  • Coordinate incident response, troubleshooting, and corrective actions to minimise downtime. 

  • Monitor compliance with contract requirements, KPIs, SLAs, and statutory regulations. 

  • Prepare and review operational reports, maintenance reports, incident reports, and client updates. 

  • Ensure compliance with safety procedures, Permit-to-Work (PTW) requirements, and company policies. 

  • Coordinate manpower deployment, mobilisation, and support across operational sites. 

  • Support the onboarding and integration of new Data Centre sites and projects. 

  • Identify opportunities to improve operational efficiency, reliability, and maintenance performance. 

  • Liaise with clients, contractors, vendors, and internal stakeholders to ensure smooth project execution.
